Eight CSR initiatives carried out by ANWIL have been appreciated by the Responsible Business Forum and published in the Report: “Responsible business in Poland 2015. Good practices”.
For the first time ANWIL submitted projects, implemented in the company, to the Report and immediately achieved success, because all practices proposed by the company from Włocławek were recognized in this prestigious publishing firm.
ANWIL’s activities for staff members won recognition of the Responsible Business Forum (Safety Week, Inform about danger, ANWIL casually), for local community (ANWIL Foundation for Włocławek, Reflected light straight into eyes, Letters to Santa Claus), for education (Myth Trackers) and for the environment (Mr Carp stocks the Vistula with fry).
The Report: “Responsible business in Poland. Good practices” is the most important publication on corporate social responsibility issued for 14 years by the Responsible Business Forum. The publication is a review of the best CSR activities performed in Poland and sums up the most significant issues connected with responsible business in a given year.
Each company, which in 2015 was implementing CSR practice, could submit it to the Report in one of seven areas, consistent with ISO 26000 standard - Governance, Work practices, Human rights, Environment, Fair operational practices, Consumer issues, Social involvement and development of local community. Afterwards, applications were verified and assessed by the Substantive Committee which took a final decision whether a particular initiative will be regarded as exemplary and ipso facto will be published in the Report or not.
