The first bell rang also for chemical technology technicians

04-09-2018

klasa-chimik-2018.jpgThe third year group of graduates from junior high schools from Włocławek and neighbouring communes have already joined ANWIL-supported class. 13 future chemical technology technicians will learn in a dual system. They will learn the theory in Włocławek Complex of Chemical Schools and apply it in practice during apprenticeships organised at the premises of the chemical company from ORLEN Group.

Chemical industry is one of the driving forces of global economy. According to the forecasts of the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) the turnover value of chemicals and chemical products in 2030 will amount to as much as EUR 6.3 billion. The national chemical segment also grows faster than the average for the remaining industries in Poland, therefore, it actively searches for qualified employees. One of the ways to acquire future work force is cooperation with vocational schools. ANWIL decided in 2016 to adopt such a solution, as well.

Today, the third year group of graduates have started to learn in the Włocławek Complex of Chemical Schools in a patronage class of a chemical company from ORLEN Group.

Anna Weckwerth, HR Processes Office Manager in the Personal Unit, when making a speech for the students during the official inauguration of the school year of 2018/2019 in the Complex of Chemical Schools said: “Starting your education in the ANWIL-supported class, you have an opportunity to join our employees and, at the same time – according to our motto – by making chemistry to fuel the future, both yours and our company’s as well as the future of Polish economy. Our employees – experts in their fields – will make every effort so that the time you will spend in ANWIL enabled you practical application of the knowledge you gain at school and, at the same time, made it easier to start you career later in life.
