The third Session of the Working Group on Safety in the Chemical Industry was held today at ANWIL. The meeting was organised to summarise the audit carried out by the National Labour Inspectorate, the State Fire Service and the State Environmental Protection Inspectorate in a joint effort.
The course and results of the audit carried out on parts of ANWIL’s fertilisers installations were discussed at the meeting. The agreed solutions will serve to verify the safety of all other chemical installations.
“I am convinced that the efforts of the entire industry will contribute to increasing the safety of our installations and introduce new audit standards, uniform across the industry. We are particularly satisfied with the fact that ANWIL played a leading role throughout the process. I would also like to emphasise that our experience of co-operating with other chemical companies from the Working Group on Safety in the Chemical Industry was good,” said Mr Arkadiusz Banaszek, Member of the Board at ANWIL, about the meeting.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Oversight and Audit Department of the Chief Labour Inspectorate, the Hazard Identification Department of the National Headquarters of the State Fire Service and the Major Failure Prevention Team at the Department of Monitoring and Information on Environment of the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection. The industry was also represented by the Azoty Group, from the plants in Puławy, Tarnów, Kędzierzyn and Police, as well as ANWIL from the ORLEN Group.
