The Weightlifting World Championship in Kazakhstan starts today. The tournament is also the first qualifying event for the 2016 Olympics. The Polish national team sponsored by ANWIL will start to compete for medals on 9 November.
Poland is represented by 13 sportswomen and sportsmen: 6 women (and 2 substitutes): Wioleta Jastrzębska in the 48 kg category, Joanna Łochowska and Aleksandra Klejnowska-Krzywańska (substitute) in the 58 kg category, Katarzyna Ostapska in the 63 kg category, Patrycja Piechowiak and Milena Kruczyńska (substitute) in the 69 kg category, Sabina Bagińska and Magdalena Pasko in the +75 kg category; 7 men (including 1 substitute): Krzysztof Szramiak in the 85 kg category, Tomasz Zieliński, Adrian Zieliński and Łukasz Grela (substitute) in the 94 kg category, Arkadiusz Michalski and Bartłomiej Bonk in the 105 kg category and Daniel Dołęga and Krzysztof Klicki in the +105 kg category.
The tournament featuring the Polish national team will be broadcast by TVP Sport.
