Since its establishment in May 2014, the ANWIL for Włocławek Foundation has pursued its objective of taking actions in the areas of education and sport, culture and art, environmental protection and tourism as well as health and social care. These were the areas in which the Foundation organised regular grant competitions. Now, the organisation is broadening its activity by announcing the launch of a programme addressed to students of lower and upper secondary schools.
“We encourage students to apply for grants of the ANWIL for Włocławek Foundation. The deadline for applications is 22 September. We will pay particular attention to those applicants who engage in social actions, taking responsibility for their environments”, underscores Małgorzata Kosińska, President of the Foundation.
30 grants are planned for Academic Year 2015/2016: 15 for students from lower secondary schools and 15 for students from upper secondary schools. Awarded as pecuniary considerations paid in the period from September to June of a given academic year, the grants will amount to PLN 200 for students of lower secondary schools and PLN 300 for students of upper secondary schools. The grants are intended to support individual gifts and talents of students from Włocławek.
Besides outstanding achievements in education, sport, or art and exceptional social activity, the preconditions for applying for the grants include an address of residence in Włocławek and filling in an online form available on the ANWIL for Włocławek Foundation’s website and delivering a printed application together with necessary exhibits before 22 September 2015 to the Foundation’s address.
In addition to the grant programme for Academic Year 2015/2016, the ANWIL for Włocławek Foundation will also organise grant competitions addressed to non-governmental organisations in Włocławek.
Currently, final projects subsidised by the Foundation as part of the “Wakacje we Włocławku aktywnie i wesoło” competition [English: Active and Enjoyable Summer Holidays in Włocławek] are coming to an end. They offered attractive summer activities in the city to nearly 2,000 children and teenagers.
At the same time, the Foundation is implementing undertakings under the “Aktywni 50+” programme [English: Active over 50], and it is planning to open another grant competition in late September, but keeps all details secret.
